I had a 3.6 litre manual and used to drive from UK to Portugal regularly, best long distance cruiser for its day, did over 100,000 miles and never missed a beat.
tons for sale.. here's a beauty for $2,000! http://www.carsales.com.au/all-cars/private/details.aspx?Cr=0&R=9722857&keywords=&trecs=40&__sid=1247B87C2832&__Ns=pCar_PriceSort_Decimal|0||pCar_RankSort_Int32|1||pCar_Make_String|0||pCar_Model_String|0&__Qpb=true&tsrc=allcarhome&__Nne=15&seot=1&__N=1216%201246%201247%201252%201282%204294965308%204294965122&silo=1011 The (many) quotes just crack me up! "I dont know if the engine works as it has been sitting for 6 years but I'm sure it wouldn't take much to get it started." Yeah riiiight.. "It has been sitting in the backyard eversince. It does have some signs of being weathered" You don't say? "Some of the plastics under the bonnet need to be replaced as the sun got to it" So the rust is sooo bad holes in the bonnet has let the sun in? "It just needs some TLC" No, it needs crushing.
RIP. Will always remember the V12 Jags racing around Wellington streets, the VL and the backbone of HSV to which I am a big fan as you all know being a peasant. Having said that he was a hard businessman and was the demise of my hero Skaife and unfortunately that will always stick with me.
Sorry for that, I must read up on it, I thought they were one in the same. Anyway, I love my HSV's (tm me ) plus less tear up.
Certainly a pioneer and he will be missed. I recently went to the HSV launch party here in Singapore & was disappointed that TW didn't make it over .. but I guess I know why now. Interestingly I didn't know until that event that he owned 100% of HSV
What about this V12 convertible - looks like it has had a good owner ! Image Unavailable, Please Login
Was Armin Hahne any relation to Hubert Hahne (Son maybe??). I always recall this video of Hubert in a little F2 car at the 'Ring in 1967: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=P3QMHzTZk_A
Peasants are poor and know their place. Bogans are poor but buy HSVs and Gucci handbags to give the illusion of wealth.
