Anyone watch last night? I thought it was pretty funny actually. When he was waiting for the hot tutor to come, but instead the fat girl showed up. I started dying. And at the beginning when he is speaking to the band directors about auditions and lists off his accomplishments, they just stared at him like WOW.

I really enjoyed it. I think he came across as very polite, fairly articulate and humble. It was really interesting, I thought. He seemed genuinly embarassed and frustrated when he couldn't get the drum line stuff down. He seems like a really nice guy.

I watched the premiere, but could only make it half way through the second show. I just got tired of watching someone come across looking like a complete idiot. What I don't understand is why he would subject himself to that. Was this some form of community service? Also, I would have thought he would have breezed through the drum auditions.

As did I, but like he said, they are two totally different instruments and he hadn't played those since being in high school.

I don't see how he "came across looking like an idiot". He's about 45 years old, never been to college, and he seems to be "taking" advanced courses. I'd look like an idiot if I hadn't not only never attended college, but I'd been out of highschool for almost 30 years. The drums were tough for him, because not only are they a COMPLETELY different instrument than a drum set, but he also can't read sheet music. So, I though he actually handled himself with a lot of humility.

    Tommy!!!

You should have brought me in.

He looked way to nervous & took courses that IMO are too hard for a 40+ yo to start with. He should be thinking Rodney Dangerfield style. Get people to take notes and brief & tutor him. He'll do just fine, but he is making life hard on himself.

I expected courses like: Womans Studies, Photography of the Female form, Scuba diving, Basic accounting, etc.

I've always thought he was a good guy. But, man, he has to get those drums down. It just looks sooooo bad.

He looked like an idiot because he clearly doesn't belong there.

Again, I don't understand why he would agree to do this show.

    I have a confession...

I went to 2 Motley Crue concerts in the last few months.

One at the LA forum and one in Irvine.

I'm bringing it back Old School.

    Shout at the Devil.

He never went to college, or finished high school. If you had'nt gotten to go to college, and people offered you a chance like this would you not take it?

I thought it was a pretty good. Some funny parts and stuff. Why this college though? why not like a place in Florida or California?

Bc he is more out of place in the American heartland than he would be in other places, which makes it more interesting which makes more people tune in. How interesting would it be if he took easy courses at U of Miami for example?

I thought it was funny. I don't think he came across as an idiot at all. What the hell do most people know about plants anyway.

I think he came across as a good person and one that can hold and present himself well. All you have to do is watch the tonight show for a week to find out that most famous people are idiots. Tommy Lee doesn't seem to be one of them, much to my suprise.

Plus, he had a Testarossa - before he crashed it - racing a Civic.

That Cobra in the beginning was a horrible replica, I think the windshield made it look bad.

The show was pretty entertaining imo. I'm glad to see that Tommy wasn't a stuck-up absorbed-in-himself guy. He actually was frustrated with the drums instead of saying to himself "I'm rich and famous, I don't need to worry about this." My friend pointed out that in the beginning when he was buying books, he had a General Chemistry book and Organic Chemistry book, haha (those who haven't taken college Chem classes prob wouldn't have found this amusing).

On a side note, I used that same gen chem book for my first two semester at school. Pretty informative and didn't require a tutor, but had I known the tutor would've been her (the blonde one obviously :p), I would've gone for tutoring lessons :D That tutor had child-bearing hips and was pretty hot.

Nebraska. He was really upset over General Chemistry. He was taking some English class, but I don't know the others.

    Edit: Horticulture was another.

Edit #2: Did anyone else see that paragraph at the bottom of the screen after the first 1/2 hour ended? It said something like "Tommy Lee is not actually..." It was up for less than a second, but I needed like 20 to read it! Any screen shots?

I took easy classes at U of Miami (golf & tennis for example) and I still managed to keep it pretty interesting... ;)
