Tony Stewart's Murcielago??

I caught a short interview on one of the NASCAR shows and I "think" I heard that Tony Stewart reciently purchased a Murcielago. Can anybody confirm this? I hope he drives it better that his Home Depot Car!

 

Yes, he has one. I don't think it's new though. I saw a picture of it a while back. Orange of course. License plate says "SMOKE". It's also embroidered on the headrest. I beleive Unique Autosports did the work on it. He also has a hearse that I know Unique Autosports did. Has some "SMOKE" airbrush job on the hood and a sticker that says "My other car is a Lamborghini". The interior of the hearse is modified to look like the interior of race car. Looks pretty cool.

There's one pic on the Unique web site. I tried to find the good pics I saw, but could not find them. Look about half way down the main page under "Events" it say something like "Tony Stewart #20".

He drives that Home Depot car better than any other Nascar driver dirves thier car. Also, he can drive road cars, like the Le Mans type cars better than most in the sport...

When I was at Lambo Chicago he bought an orange Murci from us. Then Unique did some minor mods to it, including rims. It was one of the first 2005s we got and he ordered it with a 6-speed instead of the e-gear. He was a real cool guy, and very down to earth. A pleasure to deal with him.

 

Six speed kind of guy. My remark on his driving should have been written, I hope he takes better care of the body work.

 

Got a freebie issue of Celebrity Car a while back that had his Murcie in it. Orange of course... Unfortunately it had those same ugly split-spoke chrome wheels with the sides of the spokes painted orange that everyone else puts on their Lambos, which is unfortunate...

I caught a glimpse of an orange Murci on a preview for a Speed Channel show called "Unique Whips." I checked it out on SpeedTV website, and on Mar. 15th, the episode will feature Tony Stewart and a couple of his cars, including the Murci.

Those Unique Whips guys annoy me.

 

If Will is really like that in real life, I would not work for him for longer than 30 seconds. The only Unique whip around there would be the whipping I give him.

 

I agree, he is head and shoulders above that lot in NASCRAP, but ol' Smoke doesn't drive 'Le Mans type cars'. He drives Daytona Prototypes in Grand Am Rolex.

Just watched the show. They said they put 20" on the rear and 19" in the front. I thought that would mess up the AWD system? Don't you have to put the same size all around? No?

 

As long as the wheel size upgrade is done with the requisite lowering of the tyre's profile ratio which will maintain the same rolling diameter of the stock ones, no...it shouldn't mess up the AWD.
