Meaning you will watch an empty screen. There will never be a FOTA series. They tried for years and eventually killed GPMA themselves. Dream on.

Yes you are probably right because nobody has the balls to take on Bernie let alone Max. A real pity.

It isn't about taking on Bernie or Max. A "pirate series" doesn't need either the FIA nor Bernie. Just like in boxing it could define its own rules and managing entity.

The reason it will never exist is, that the team managers are first and foremost egoists looking for their own gain. They will never agree on anything that might give another team a slight benefit. Because of the lack of finding agreement, they will never be able to define their own sporting code and their own money dividing rule etc.

It has been tried before and didn't work. It will never work. The moment they're even close to something, the FIA and/or Bernie will hand out a carrott that a particular team just can't refuse and the whole thing goes to hell in a handbasket.

The independent series is a pipe dream. And Bernie and Max know that.

Yes and no ... they don't want to loose their income (racing stopped being the focus years ago) and they believe Bernie controls that and are scared to let go.

No balls ... if they actually cared even slightly for the racing the carrot that Bernie will play will mean nothing. This is why F1 really should be allowed to die and be swept under the carpet.
