    One step closer to a 458 Spider.

    the condo for sale in Aspen is under contract. Realtor says the place appraised and the banker says the buyer's loan will be approved. With the 360 trade-in and the proceeds from the sale will have enough to buy the Spider and have $ left over. Plus we still have the lake house to sell.

    Now all I have to do is find a suitable Spider.

    Red/Tan
    Red/Black
    Silver/Tan
    Silver/Black
    White/Tan
    White/Red
    White/Black

    Life is good. :cool:

    Thanks. The condo has been on the market almost a year.

    My wife said today: now you can get that 458 you want. I love this woman. :cool:

    Now the search begins. It is still winter here. Would be nice to have something wrapped up by summer. beggars can't be choosers (BCBC). Will be interested to see what's out there.

    I would add silver/red to my list.

    Don't need alot of CF but an LED steering wheel is pretty much a must have. Leather or CF.
    Shields.
    Seats electric and heated but if the racing seats are comfortable... Diamond seats are beautiful.
    Sat Radio is a must. Nav I can use Garmin.
    Wheels. the standards are fine. They all look good. BCBC.
    Don't need lifts (fixed the driveway for the 360), cameras or park assist but would not reject a car that had them.

    I would have been fun to order one to my specs. However the dealer told me it was a 4 year wait a year ago. that would put me over 70. My health is good NOW but that could be pushing it.

    Surely I can find a proper spider in less than three years. Any place in the continental US or perhaps even Canada works for me.

    BTW a friend let me drive his Italia. He is 70 already and loves the car. Quote: if you drive it you'll want to buy one.

    Good to hear Phil haha. There are a few on the market but they are all marked up about 40-60k from what ive seen. Theres a couple floating on ebay, but im pretty sure they are just ads to get the car out there. Ferrari of Scottsdale actually has one that fits most if not all of your required options. Of course sticker, and actual asking price are slightly different ha.

    I don't understand why the center console is not CF. Weird. It's like he ordered it that way and paid more for the privilege.

    Beautiful car though. Very well optioned.

    Ferrari screwed up an option on my spider and apparently it happens from time to time. The print out the dealer sent me for confirmation of my order showed "lower front dash in Cuoio" (which is what I wanted) but when the car game the lower dash was black. They did the central tunnel in cuoio but the entire dash was black. I know it wasn't the dealers mistake - they've shipped several cars with this option so they knew exactly how to instruct the factory.

    Luckily it didn't bother me. I supposed I could have asked the dealer to order a new lower dash in Cuoio and Ferrari probably would have done it at no cost but I didn't mind. If they had left out the "carbon fiber central bridge" (that's how it appeared on the computer print out) I would have asked to get it fixed.

    Does radionav mean Siruius/XM satellite radio?

    those CF racing seats with stitching look great.

    Yes. It means it has the antenna installed for Sat radio. You must add the antenna if you order Nav with the car (at least in the US).

    Looks like this. Comes with the Racing package that includes the dash, and the driver's zone. You must buy the racing seats to get this package (saves about 2 grand from buying it separately).

    I had a similar issue. I even sent them a picture of what I wanted. Frustrating but I love the car anyway.
