Hello! I have been a Ferrari admirer for a long time and over the last couple of years have had the chance to drive a friends 360 Spyder from time to time. I am looking to buy my first Ferrari in the next year or so and have always loved the look of the 328 and Mondials. However, at 6'5" tall, I know this might not be the perfect match for me. Are there any tall 328 or Mondial owners out there that can tell me how tight it would be for me in your cars???? Many thanks.

At 6ft I don't qualify but I can tell you that I find the 308 tight but driveable and that the Mondial fits me perfect.

I'm 6' 5" as well and I fit in the driver's side of my 328 GTS with the roof both on and off. I only fit in the passenger side with the roof off. But who wants to sit on that side anyway?

I just bought a Mondial 8 on Saturday; I'm 6'4" and 240 [ok, ok, 250]. It's tight for me, but so is almost any other car I've owned. Plenty of elbow room for me, but my legs are just too long for most vehicles. I guess what I'm saying is, that it should be no worse than any other car you're used to driving ;)

Thanks for the quick replies. I agree with your statement, but why is there less room on the passenger side????

Maybe I'm just crazy, but there definitely seems to be less leg room on that side. It forces me to sit up a little straighter.

The fixed footrest on the Passenger's side is physically closer to the seat than the pedals on the Driver's side -- there's a space behind the fixed panel where they hide some components (it's the same on a TR too).

At 6'5", a steering wheel extension is a must (so you can lean further back to lower your head) and a smaller steering wheel (~320mm) helps too.

I'm 6'7" and have a 328. Fit with roof on and off, though it is tight. My legs hit the dash with the shifts, and with the roof on, the hair brushes the headliner on bumps. It's about as tight of a fit in a car I can do. And I agree on the passenger thing as well. You'll fit, go for it!

I've driven a 360 and easily fit in there.

a neat thing with the Mondial, there is a chrome lever on the steering column left hand side just under the dash. flip it down and you can adjust the steering wheel up/down and in/out, most don't know about it. another reason to love the mondial :D

I imagine the fit will be tight. I am 6'3" tall and bought a 328GTB...wrong choice! I was short about an inch on head room....so I sold it shortly afterwards. You may fit better in a 328 GTS. My advise....drive each model you may be interested in to be sure you fit before you buy one, otherwise you may regret your choice.

6'4" own a 328 GTS. Fit fine / Hardly put the top on, but fit as well with it on. It's a little concave on the inside.
Key is, do you have long legs or a long trunk. Most of my height is in my legs. My 328 came with a Momo steering wheel. It's a little smaller in diameter and works great. The stock steering wheel is larger and makes it tight for shifting in reverse.
As everyone has mentioned drive as many as you can.
Enjoy the search! Welcome to the board.

I'd like to see some pics of a factory wheel, if the Momo is aftermarket. I thought the Momo WAS the factory wheel.

Here's another "un-stock" 320 mm MOMO veloce mounted on a 2" extension in a 308 which allows the steering wheel to be adjusted downwards (your knee goes "behind" the wheel during ingress/egress) -- note that in Tom's example the steering wheel is adjusted into the full up position. The 308 stock MOMO is 350 mm diameter.

I think this is a "stock" steering wheel.

6'4" and my GT4 fits me perfectly with lots and lots of room to spare. Definately much roomier than a GTB/GTS, thanks to the rear bench. I raised the front of the seat a bit to get some more support for my upper legs, and put the backrest back a bit (but not even all that much).

You got to love the looks of the GT4 though.... I do, and it grows on me even more every time I look at it.

    Hans
