Some have said that Boxers offer more room inside than 308s and others have said just the opposite. I am 6'4" tall with about a 35" inseam. Will I be able to fit somewhat comfortably in a Boxer?

I'm 6'4", and I'm quite comfortable in the Boxer. Now, keep in mind that my head is basically touching the roof, but I'm used to it.

A lot of it is how much you are willing to adapt and how badly you want to make it work. When I first got in it, I found it a bit tight too, but I adapted, and now I don't even notice it.

Some people would have gotten in and fit like I did initially and given up. I wanted to make it work, so I did.

    lew,

nice to see you back on f-chat. i hav a bb and am 6-4 w/ a 36" inseam. i also have a 308 gtb qv. that said, i feel a bit more comfy in my 308 but the boxer is not far off from a size and comfort stand point.

my issue w/ the boxer is primarily in the location of the shift lever. it (when in the stock location hit my thigh in first and reverse gears. the remedy is very much cobra esque and turning the stick towards the passenger direction makes it much more roomy. i have not done that to my car yet but i have driven "JTR's" bb with it done...and it made a world of difference!!

you would probably com to this realization on your own based on your cobra experience.

lew, if you please, send me a pm w/ your contact info so we can get together the next time i am in wilmington...i have since spoken to david k. but have not seen a kirkham w/ the tall package yet. i really can't get that damn car out of my mind! likewise....if ever in charlotte, please feel free to drive my bb. you can take your time w/ the car and if a bb is in your future...you can make the decision w/ some real basis.

    best,

    peter

Im 6-2 34 inseam and found that ferrari limits the seat travel for the luggage to fit behind the seats. I removed the small welded tab on the seat track that controlled the travel and found I can actually move the seat too far back to reach the controls comfortably. It made a world of difference in the comfort, got my right leg off the shifter and out of the way of the steering wheel as well. I would suggest it to any tall boxer owner.

Thanks Peter. The offer for a test drive is recipricol. Anytime that you are in the Wilmington/Philadelphia area, you are welcomed to take my Kirkham out for a spin. Warning - it is addictive.

The right track for the left seat is the one with the stopper. In the pic you can see its gone (it was above the allen screw with a clearance notch in it). With it gone I can move the seat right back to the rear firewall and since I dont have the luggage it isnt an issue.

    Hi gang,
All I have to saw is this:I'm 6'6,weight is like a semi-truck and I fit in a 308(no problemo @ all),Mondial(no problemo @ all),348(hmmm,center console a bit difficult),355(no problemo),Testarossa(no problemo, with a steering column lever much better),BB(no problemo but small and the gear lever isn't in the right place for me),512 TR NO WAY I CAN GO IN IT!
    Speedman
PS If I can get a nice good Mondial again(sold mine)I would buy it and use it as a daily driver...
