It's the first time that I took her to work since I bought her 1.5 weeks ago.. Drove in early to avoid rush hour traffic and to get a good spot in the parking garage.. It's a 35 mile trip to work. Now I gotta show her to all the co-workers that want to see her
Yep, good advice. People get really strange about these things, regardless of the car's true value relative to everything else in the garage. Keep it low key and that helps it remain a non-issue
Maybe you can move your desk down to the parking garage, so you can look at your new ride all day, and maybe get something work related done!! Enjoy!!!!
I can actually see the TR from my office.. My office is on the 3rd floor and I can see the car from up here...
not on my current policy. I actually only have liability and uninsured motorists on my policy... I will only get full coverage once the points are off my license.. Right now I have 10 points on my drivers license and Collector Car Insurance companies won't insure me and regular full coverage insurance is over $2k for 6 months.. It's not like I can't afford $2k, but I still don't like to waste money.. Haven't been fault in an accident all my life and everything else is covered with my current liability policy.. It has been 2.5 years since my last ticket and in April '06 my license will be clean again (Florida only keeps a 3 year driving record. Points expire after that period of time). Once my points are gone, I'll be able to get Collectors Car Insurance...
I will bet $$$ that you aren't going to get any work done today at all ... Enjoy your voyeuristic day at "work"!!
How would that be different from any other day?? Work is quiet right now.. No major deadlines coming up until January... However, once work will pick up, I'm gonna be working 60 hour weeks.... Oh well, at least they pay me good
I have heard lots of innuendo about people's co-workers acting weird or even rude after they discover that you have a Ferrari in the parking lot. Apparently this can happen even if it is a $25,000 Ferrari parked next to someone's $60,000 Escalade. Anyone have any interesting first-hand accounts?
Nice. Your enthusiasm obviously puts others at ease. Enjoy as many good weather days with the TR as you can this season! BT
Careful Grand... What most people say to your face and behind your back are two different things....... Enjoy the ride!!!!!!!!!
Congrats on the car, and enjoy in good health.....but I agree with the other post, people at your office might notbe as happy for you as you think. Enjoy it !! and stay away from the idoits !
Luckily I'm relatively high in the food chain in the office and won't really have to worry about what many of them think etc... However, I haven't noticed any jealousy of co-workers... I really like my job and the people that I work with... That was one of the reasons that I accepted their offer to work for them as an employee.. (worked for them as a consultant before) Well, another reason was of course the $$$ that they offered me
A ha, now they'll find that they paid you too much! Enjoy it, I can't even see my ride when I park in the basement but I'll rather keep it away from people I know. Too much "talking behind you" issues which I rather not have here. It's a joy when people share the same passion though.
DITTO - So very true !!!!!! You'll have less friends in 6 months - Just enjoy it. You'll forget about all the perps at work when you're behind the wheel and they're in your rearview mirror!
Luckily I don't really have to worry about anybody at work or having work in general.. I make most of my money in Real Estate anyway by buying, fixing up and selling properties on the side. If I'd be for any reason out of the job, I'd just do Real Estate investment full time and would probalby end up making more $$$ than at my job. I've actually thought about just working for myself. However, the main reason to stay employed are the benefits and to have a regular $$$ income. Real Estate only gives me profits when I sell, so I always have to keep enough money on the side to live from until my next property is ready for re-sale...
F**K THEM! Sour grapes. I drive my TR to work every chance I get. Petty people say petty things. If your boss starts to give you evil looks......think twice. It might promote an image of sucess, and in the office, image sometimes means alot.
