206's had gedore spanners i believe. and a different pouch that was medium brown, coarse texture, no cloth on inner flap. ed
This tool kit is only correct for 246 E-serie and only for chassis no. approx. #4500 until #7000. In total there have been five different tools kit during 206/246 production. 1) 206 (medium brown with Gedore spanners) 2) 246 L-serie (medium brown / beige cloth with Gedore spanners) 3) 246 M-serie until early E-serie (medium brown / beige cloth with Sircon spanners) 4) middle E-serie (dark brown / beige cloth with Sircon spanners) 5) late E-serie (dark brown / red cloth with Sircon spanners) Regards Matthias
^ the 5 variations above needs revision. prob early on in his research. need to add the dark brown tool pouch with brown lining.
lol, no brown is brown. email sent with pix. feel free to post them here. also, the tool pouch in post #1 is brown cloth, not dirty beige.
You guys didn't bother to read the date of the original post????????? Prior to Synchro's post just yesterday, the FIRST and LAST posts about this tool kit were posted to FCHAT on January 31, 2010, all on the same day - MORE THAN 3 F'NG YEARS AGO. Synchro must have just checked in from Pluto when he resurrected this thread. (Hey, Pluto isn't even a planet anymore)! The question is WHY did Synchro revive this moribund thread?????????? Just to correct Herr Bartz's spelling of "SIRCODIN"?????? Or, was he just checking to see who has had their eyes checked in the last 3 years? Jeezess Louizess!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Nothing wrong per se, just it is very strange to ask a question directed towards someone who posted over 3 years ago and ask if the original poster was getting ready to buy a Dino...
Agreed. Old posts have a wealth of information. Just researching one of the very few posts about 206 tool kits that mention Gedore tools. After Mark's recent huge success selling his tool kt and accessories I think I may do the same. Funny thing is there was no shouting, profanity, or exclamations when I bumped posts, advertising his items on ebay, like this: http://www.ferrarichat.com/forum/206-246/58848-246-gts-sebring-top.html Image Unavailable, Please Login
I don't agree that it is helpful to bump old posts without giving ANY sort of reason why someone is doing that. It is one thing to bump a 3+ year old thread to add something enlightening, but to use the first bump to correct a 3+ year old spelling error, without bothering to even hint at the relevance or the reason(s) why for the bump? Heck, there must be 20,000 old posts in the Dino section that could be bumped for correcting spelling or typo errors. And then to have people start posting to ask the ORIGINAL poster of the 3+ year old post if they are planning to purchase a car (or whatever) as if the thread first appeared in the last month or so is, well, a little odd, I think. Nice wrenches, BTW. But, why not bump the thread to comment or ask about Gedore wrenches in the first bump, instead of only correcting the spelling of Sircodin?
In fact, I do agree with the sentiment that old threads contain a lot of information that is very useful. In this case, the thread itself is fine, but I am suggesting that when a thread is bumped, it would be helpful if the bumper stated a reason at the outset why it was bumped so people don't get confused as to when the thread was started and why it was bumped. Let's see more tools and toolkits!
Because the FerrariChat search engine will now catch it when it was missed before. This is not just spelling but the ability for our collective knowledge to be found. One of THE BEST examples of DIYs are by Daviekj; photos, descriptions, steps - he has it all ... BUT he embeds his text within graphics making them unsearchable by the FerrariChat search engine. Just look at how nicely he does it but there are many other examples of his great craft: http://www.ferrarichat.com/forum/206-246/239352-water-pump-rebuild-pictures.html
There are some very skilled people on this site. Makes one want to understand and, pet it, rather than kick it when it won't obey!
