    I have been informed that judging does not require an original tool kit and that a reproduction one will pass without a point deduction????????????????????????????????

    No that is correct a repro is fine but original is always more desireable..

    Tom S. is THE MAN as far as vintage tools and wheels go, you need to meet him anyway.....

    I tried Tom and he had niente!
    Now please explain to me your thoughts about the originals being more desirable. If the reproductions are good enough, and you can actually use them just in case of emergency without fear of diminishing your investment why spend triple???????????????

    I feel over time on the older cars originality is important to the value of the machine.....

    That said though, I hear what you are saying and I am never bashful about breaking mine out on the road to actually work on the car!

    I always point out there's a new Factory tool kit that is very nice that would match your leather luggage! LOL!

    Your point about being reasonable as to the cost is well made with me, far too many other expenses on these cars are more important...

    we have seen repro SHOP RAGS made for the Dino kits, that's going pretty far......:D
