I just bought a 1970 2400 Fiar Dino Spider, one of the 434 built in the Ferrari factory. Does anyone know what the tool set that was shipped with the car might have looked like? Michael Bayer 330GT, 356GTC4 and 2400 Dino Spider

Mine came with what looks like a 124 tool kit, the 124 was silver so sometype of zinc plating I am guessing, the Dino is golden so probably something like Cadmium plating, but that is the only difference I have seen between the 2.0 and the 124 tool kit, even in the little plastic box.

Note that this was a for a 2.0 Spider not a 2.4 but I am assuming there were the same. And I don't know for a fact that the toolkit that came with my Dino is factory, but it fits in the spot designed for it perfectly.

Can you post some photos of your cars AND the tool kit?

My car is on my home page (see my profile) and I will shoot some pics of the toolkit this weekend. Warning, its just a FIAT toolkit, nothing like a 246 toolkit.

I would post pics here but I got "talked" to once that it is not a Ferrari.

I just looked at your profile photo, and I, for one, think you car looks great. For some reason, the front reminds me of an early CAN-AM car, but I can't seem to remember which one . . .

Out of curiosity, who "talked" to you, Rob?

Its not supposed to remind you of a CAN-AM car, its supposed to remind you of a Dino :)

To me it does anyway, you can see the Ferrari and FIAT Dino's shared the same heritage from the front-end treatment. (its my fantasy, don't mess with it :) )

As to who talked to me, I won't mention names it was not Rob, it was near 3 years ago and I just told that my Dino being a FIAT belonged in the "Other Italian" category, no big deal, a very large majority of people disagreed with him.

I have not forgotten the pics of the tool kit, I will do that over the weekend.

Well, it reminds me of BOTH a CAN-AM car AND a Dino! I can't imagine a much better combination. Regardless, I still like your DINO.
