or rather - don't suck enough....

Currently I am using a tool similar (different brand) to the one shown below.

Does anybody have any better recommendations & solutions?

Looking for general shop use as well as brakes.

I use the large fluid suction cylinder sold by Griot's Garage-- works really well and is sturdy.

I have also seen it advertised in the back of Hemmings Sports and Exotic Cars

The pressure bleeders from Motive Products get excellent reviews on other forums I belong to.

For bleeding the brakes on my race car, which I have to do every race day, I bought an extra cap for the master cylinder. I drilled and added a hose barb out the top, then hook it up to a pressure regulator and my nitrogen tank. Run 10-15 psi and it bleeds beautifully. So much easier than any other way except having someone else do it.

The pressure bleeding is the way to go.... but I need someting to drain the master cylinder and drain axle lube (truck) and do all the 'other' sorts of routine shop uses.

The air driven eductors just don't seem to develop much suction. Has anybody used these?

I tried a suck-o-bleeder and couldn't make it work worth a da*m. I returned it and got a pressure bleeder kit which included multiple resevior caps for various applications. One thing to be careful of: DO NOT run more than 10-15 p.s.i. or you will risk blowing up the resevoir tank which is quite expensive to replace. Might even be NLA but I haven't checked.
