Typical. The F50 is my favorite Ferrari halo car: V12, rear-mid engine, all are manuals, and almost no nannies. It's the F40 I never liked: Awkward styling, V8, turbos. Yuk.

That was my feeling when I first saw one back in '95. It's my least favorite halo car, by far. I'm sure they're a blast to drive, but the styling is extremely brutish to me.

The F50 is much better; swoopy and sexy, not angular and harsh looking like the F40 is.

Funny u say that because I’m the opposite;)
I found the f50 not pretty and it didn’t get the good driving reviews the f40 got...
Tbh with u for me, everything after Enzo is a great car but no longer an icon.

The F50 has problems for some - even some at Ferrari think it was a missed opportunity in some ways (The engine could have had more displacement and HP, some think) - but driving wise, I think the lack of any boost for the brakes is the biggest gripe. You can get in big trouble fast if you aren't aware of that, I'm sure. For me it's perfect though, and aside from the looks, I don't care for the turbo V8 of the F40. The NA V12 connected to a manual with no nannies is much more appealing to me.

I think the F40 is exactly as ugly as the FF, just in a different design language, but I'm considering buying an FF because it's an awesome car.

At least when you're driving it, you don't have to look at it. :)

Funny u mention the FF. I been on record here saying it’s ugly but over the years it has grown on me, specially in menacing black. I love what it can do and performance for the price: cheaper than a 458 and pretty close speed wise with space for my twins;)

The Bertone styling of the 308 GT4 has always been attractive to me.

I see some of the design of the Lancia Stratos in it.

There is... but not enough. :)

The problem is the proportions of the two cars are completely different.

This is by far the DUMBEST article ever written about Ferraris. They list one-off design or prototype concepts on the list and then include the F50 and California. How clueless can someone be? Only one they got right was the 400/412. Just in 5 seconds my quick list is 10x better something like...

    1) FF
    2) 400/412
    3) Mondial
    4) 330 2+2 4H
    5) Either GT4 or Queen Mother

OK, I understand the first Cali had a little awkward rear, but not 10% of the FF rear. It is a beautiful car that runs as a hard top, convertible, and 2+2. Just look at the sales success if doubting how popular. Even most Ferrari people can't even tell side by side a California and F12, certainly the public can't tell the difference.

Not to be the devils advocate but the ff in the right spec does look good:

It is a GREAT car under the skin, but no matter what you do the rear can't be fixed. The market agrees 65% depreciation! There are some good angles of the car.

I agree with you but the market agrees with the depreciation of almost every single Ferrari these days that are not special edition; just doesn’t depreciate that fast though;)

I can't get a black FF anyway because Demarcus Ware had one 7 Townhomes down and would make me look like copying him. :D

Rob - I am surprised to see the QM on your list - I am biased because I had one for 10 years, but I always thought of it as the poor man's 500 Superfast - the last of Pininfarina's curvy, elegant 60s designs. It is definitely big - I believe it is still the longest Ferrari ever made, even longer than the 612. It was made to devour Interstates, Autostradas . . . .

I think the 330 2+2 4H and the QM have aged GREAT the last 10 years especially as the vintage appreciation has increased. Go back to 2005 and before though and that attitude is what I'm basing from. Maybe the FF will have a future resurgence too.

Ferraris that look like station wagons never have a future resurgence.

Is it too soon to add the yet to be produced Ferrari SUV/FUV to the 5 most disliked Ferraris list?

Give it places 1 to 5.

As the FF and Lusso didn't make the list, we can safely ignore the author's opinion on the rest of Ferrari.

    I have to say I've never met a Ferrari I didn't like. :)

Of course there's some I wouldn't want to own.

My list would be the following

    1) 208s
    2) Mondial
    3) 365/400/412
    4) 348
    5) California
    6) FF/Lusso
    7) F50
    8) 308 GT4
    9) F512 M
    10) 612

Now keep in mind this is what I think 'some people' hate. I personally would be proud to own any of these.
