Does anyone know if the fastener for the top boot is English or German spec Tenax? I need to replace a couple and don't know which kit to get, and they are incompatible.
    Thanks,
    Steve

I have replaced mine. The local guy here found them for me and they say "made in England" on them and I believe He got them from a Jaguar supplier. They worked perfectly on the original posts but of course no horsey on them but they are stainless steel.

I ordered some replacements and spares from this company:

    http://www.eagleday.com/

They sell both the German and English snaps and have pictures on their website for comparison. I dealt with a guy named Steve who was extremely helpful in making sure that I got the ones I needed. I ended up getting the German snaps to match the ones that I had but unfortunately my boot is aftermarket so I can't tell you which snaps/posts an original boot would use.

I looked back through my receipts and found I purchased the "TENAX Small head Chrome Plated Brass-German" From Eagle Day. The black plastic Ferrari logo cover just snaps onto them. They do match the originals on what I believe is an original boot.

Thanks, everyone. It looks like the German ones are correct. I was able to remove one from the rear seat strap to temporarily replace the lost one on the boot. I think I'll just get the black chrome ones without the horsie for the seat backs. Incidentally, while I don't have the installation tool, I used some snap ring pliers with no problems whatsoeveer. I also put a bit of Blue Loktite on the threads to hopefully prevent losing another one.
