Has anyone ever relocated the fastening points on their top cover? Mine is really hard to stretch. Also there looks to be a tremendous amount of stress at the button points on the cover itself. I would like to move the fastening points at the very rear. Has anyone ever tapped into the top frame and if so what size tap would work?

Are you talking about these way in the back ?
These Tenax fasteners are a pain in the butt.
The Velcro fastener in the middle is even more of a problem.
I think it would be better to alter the cover and not the car.
There are a few people who make aftermarket tonneau covers, I am tempted to buy a black one.
Some of them you may have to install the Tenax fasteners on yourself.
