    I still can't get my top down right. I saw a video, but that was of a later year. Can I get some help/video of an 83 top folding. Pleeeeeze.

    You are not alone. I have an 87 and have had problems as well. I got the top down and tonneau in place about 3 months ago. Hasn't been up since. Not exactly like a Miata. Good luck.

    That video Dave did is about as good as it gets. Where exactly in the process are you running into trouble?

    They can be fussy, and yours may be out of alignment, only making things more difficult.

    The important thing is not to rush it or get impatient...that just leads to bad things.

    My problem is, that after lowering the top, the boot won't fit. The snaps won't all reach their posts. Once, I somehow did it right, and it did fit....once.
