    Rumor was that it wasn't driven by the Stig but a Renault testdriver in a Stig helmet.

    Actually it was AlGore dressed as The Stig that was driving the Reno F1 car.

    I find it amazing, that you find a F1 RACE CAR faster than a road car "amazing".

    anyone knows where to d/load the weekly episodes? or even a web where it's possible to d/load any cars that they tested. i really love the damn show

    Supposedly the stig is Perry McCarthy a fromer F1 driver so it could have been the same guy. Then again who the heck knows for sure

    AWESOME! No way to compare even the fastest road car to a F1! They make even other race cars looks like slugs, because they are in comparison.......

    THAT WAS SO COOL! i just watching a F1 car being started up, let alone being taken around the top gear track.

    this guy told me it wasnt Heikki... and he should know, since he was there ;) .... Julian Bailey is the current 'white' stig by most probable account... and he had quite some trouble stalling the 2004 Renault f1 car... but absolutely did drive it around the TG "track"

    and if anybody hasn't read Perry Mcarthy's book "flat out, flat broke" its quite an interesting, and entertaining read :)
