I think its gorgeous. And its about time that a magazine had a write up on it. I feel like it was announced a decade ago and this is the first we are hearing!
The last time I saw Tom Ford he was heading up north for a swim in the ocean. Obviously this new trip is a bit more to his liking... CH
QFT. Somehow it looks a lot better due to the more flowing lines of the car. It just looks better with the roof.
Again, QFT The first pic just shows the perfect curves and lines of the Aperta. Yet, with roof is still more desirable than without, imo. @Carlo, I'm going to stop saying QFT but yes you're quite right. I'd love the sound of that whaling V12 .
I am sure that listening to that V12 with the top removed would suddenly make all other considerations irrelevant...
Exactly! Who cares what it looks like when the wind is running through your hair and you can't hear your passenger screaming over the Aperta's exhaust note. Simply delightful.
A carbon fiber one or two piece roof similar to the CGT would have added that extra practicality to this amazing car. Can't wait to see one in the wild.
Drop top - Good GTO Engine and Drivetrain - Great 599XX Exhaust - Holy sh*t I hope to see one in the flesh, apparently the local dealer should be getting one through the doors.
A continental-European with an not at all English background just kicked in yo! Of course I meant wailing Hope my other English isn't as bad as the typo I've just made
GOOD ONE. But with a big enough V12, who cares! sighhhhh, I must content myself with a four-banger and a removable roof until somebody wants to sell his Aperta at the same time that I have a spare few hundred grand.
I'm quite interested in the second hand market regarding the SA Aperta. If it takes the same road as the Barchetta did, we'll see some "cheap" models in about 5 years. Currently they sell for about 130-150k Euro's (190-220k USD) in The Netherlands.
Read this article and I must admit I was impressed, the pictures perfectly complemented the article too. Not sure if its me but this article really showed enthusiasm for the car and conveyed the experience to the reader.
good article and post. an open top v12 ferrari should be an ultimate car for me but i saw one at the ferrari museum in maranello 2 weeks ago and i did not care for it. it seems very over done style wise. like the automotive equivalent of versace as opposed to the armani i wanted.
