No, his weighing on his preference wasn’t relevant, because he’s a hater and a troll. If you or someone else had weighed in with your preference, it would have been perfectly fine.

I agree that you can be a fan of the Ferrari brand and not be a SF90 apologist. But apologists aren’t the issue. It’s the SF90 haters that are. They are two very different things. Apologists can and do recognize and/or admit how impressive a performer the SF90 is, while also explaining why it isn’t their car of choice. They are able to do both of these things without constantly bashing the car.

Haters, on the other hand (the people who troll the 296 and SF90 forums), are looking for any opportunity to trash the car that they can find. Blatant comments, backhanded comments, you name it. All are stated with the purpose of bashong the car, and by extension, their owners. He’s a hater and a troll. Has been as long as I’ve been on here. So no, he won’t get a pass from me.

Do you have a Senna? I always wanted one but missed the boat speccing a new one and the prices on used are ridiculous considering the spec.

    I don’t think it’s hating on an SF90 to prefer a Senna.

    But they’re very different cars.

Sold my Senna 100k behind sticker 1.45M XP Brazil which was too much attention for me.
There will never be another car like it - in every category,

Agreed. Preferring a Senna over a SF90 is definitely not hating on the SF90.

Spending your time in a SF-90 forum as a non-owner constantly trashing the SF90 is hating.

really great to drive aren’t they !

I don’t think McLaren sit there calculating the bhp/ton of their past cars and compare other people’s laptimes, neither do Ferrari and there’s zero chance they’ll be embarrassed about it imo

I guarantee they’re embarrassed about it. Probably just as embarrassed as being forced to sell 100% of thier company to the sovereign wealth fund of the Kingdom of Bahrain (Mumtalakat) in order to stay in business.

okay, do you have any contacts within the company that have told you they are embarrassed about a few lap times where the sf90 was faster vs a few where it was slower despite having sold all of their cars and it being a well rated drivers car?

i'll reach out to a few people in the new years to see for sure but seeing as you are confident I presume you already know some :)

By the same token, I should assume you have contacts within the company who told you they aren’t embarrassed by their flagship track car not being consistently faster than a non-special series, overweight, mid-engine GT Ferrari? Of course you don’t.

Just like you don’t know any contacts who told you they aren’t embarrassed about having to be bought out by a foreign company in order to prevent bankruptcy.

Yes, I’m sure they’re quite proud of both of these things.

Are we allowed to post positive commentary about the SF90? Seems out of character for this forum.

Can we get the mods in here? We can't have people saying nice things about modern Ferraris, especially SF90.

Haha, I certainly try! This post was created to be a SF90 positive post, of which I’ve made a few, but there are always people who try to disparage the car at every turn. Some comments are blatant, some subtle, but the intentions are obvious.

Yeah, doesn't make sense - I love mine. It's ballistically fast for a series production street car, no caveats needed.

I have to drive one. I am really pissed off I listened to the usual internet trolls before I saw the car in the flesh and reneged on an allocation, when I saw the car IRL I absolutely loved it but it was too late, the allocation was gone :( now my new rule is that I must see the car in the flesh before I pass judgment, trolls are a pure nuisance, most regurgitate stereotypical internet opinions.

Yes great drivers track car and no due to presence is massive so def not under the radar. If you don't mind picture / video everywhere you go.
The half window is a pain - due to ower door window., more of a race car than street in every way but one heck of a ride. Mine was too nice to enjoy - all carbon. Until you really appreciate al the aero and work Mac did you won't understand the effort. Clear ran more than double due to the amount of pieces.

We had similar experiences with Sennas. Ours was a full carbon XP - too nice to use properly but a great car. Very different to an SF90, which is a better car overall, though extreme in different ways. If only for track, Senna is the one though. Be interesting to see how XX compares.

Ours was also in the MSO Senna full carbon livery. I managed to find very cheaply the exact reg plate perfect for the car so I sold it with the car. Nice guy bought it and hopefully he’s still enjoying it. I think one day I might regret it but it seemed the right thing to do at the time. I didn’t like the look at launch but had changed my mind by the time I bought one. Looking at the pic, I still think it looks great. Same will happen with F80, which, by the way, is a whole other level to be in and around. XX feels like the right comparison for Senna and I didn’t want to keep both.

I actually like the Senna. And that’s a beautiful example of one.
