Have any of you done your own top replacement? My '84 is in need of a top and I am considering doing the job myself. I did the one on my Mercury Capri and it came out fine, but I'm just not sure of the complexity of the Mondial. The Capri service manual covered the procedure fairly completey, but I see little in the Ferrari book. Any advice from you guys would be appreciated.
    Thanks,
    Steve

I just had the top replaced on my '91. I bought a new top on ebay for about $500 and paid another $500 to have it installed. I think the $500 for install was money well spent, and that was a bargain considering how many hours it took the pro's to do it.

I'm hiring an upholstery shop to do mine. I've heard it's not for the feint of heart. Mine is pretty tore up, and I will be taking it to the shop next week, maybe I'll have some pics taken.

I did it. Don't do it. Pay a pro. It took me 3 days. $500 installation is a good deal. Bought top from ebay supplier. Very nice. Original German canvas material; better than original, approx. $600. No horsey on back window; too bad, I can handle it.
