So what is the top speed of whatever you drive and how fast have you driven (on track or on public roads either)

I don't have a license yet so I don't drive much and always out of town usually on old back country roads in my dodge pickup for fun just going on a straight stretch I've hit 100+ but as for sports cars I've yet to drive one. Also I managed to hit 80+ in my dads lincoln navigator while passing a diesel going through nevada.

holy crap. i got an idea. Get one or find one of those speed tracker things that you see on the side of the road that tells you how fast you are going, get a computer chair that has wheels on it, and go down a hill. How fast you think you could get?

And remember to lob off around 10% from everyones brags on account of frictional losses and optimistic speedos.

Just my own body and some forces of nature I went 120mph, but then again, that was jumping out of an airplane!

    C5 vette 170mph

Current car, Infiniti G35coupe, have gone 130mph, could stretch to 160ish I suppose.

Hey man, what's up? Haven't seen you post in a while. How are things?

    Oh wait...sorry....no need to hijack.

    Top speed for me...um....well.....nothing spectacular.

Passenger: 110 MPH in an SLR
Driver: um......not really fast enough to mention. I've never driven anything in the proper areas to get into much speed. My 4 cylinder pick-up hardly does 80.

Yeah well I've reached a top speed of 64,000 mph around the sun, so eat it. This was while rotating at 1080 mph around the equator, AT THE SAME TIME!

Seriously top speed isn't that impressive. Anything on hte highways is just plain stupid, and on a track, well.... The kind of people at tracks probably don't need to brag about how fast they went in a straight line.

About 6.5 mph for 30 minutes on my treadmill, while *continuously* watching CNN.
How can Michael Schumacher beat that? I'd like to watch him race and watch TV at the same time.

    Schumi : 0

Thanks. Though I'm not sure if the speedometer is accurate. 5% off maybe. Gotta change that with a Motec one

I clocked my bike at 32mph.. have been well over 100mph, but have driven only 75. ;(

I've actually gone in the twenties on my skateboard (longboard), and thats scarry fast.. lemme tell ya. I was new to the board so I wiped out pretty hardcore.. I still have a small scar on my forearm. Nowadays I can hit 20 pretty easily, without wiping out.. heh.

Oh, btw - whoever said they went 67mph on a jet ski, I can sympathize. I owned a XL760 (not exactly your performance ski) and took that up to 45-50mph, which feels much faster on water than in a car.. and 65 on an XLT1200, which is hella fast on water. I recommend it. Its comparable to 110+mph in a car with atleast the top down.. (90 with the windows down felt in control compared to 65 on water) The only thing scarier is taking a cigar boat 100+mph.
