Melodie took me out last night for my once a year pig-out. Not sure I’ll eat again for a week!

    First Course

Sugar Cane venison in a pomegranate reduction
Pan seared striped bass with a citrus ginger glaze.

    Second Course:

Wild mushroom strudel with water chestnut beurre blanc and a sake glazed lobster tail finished off in a BBQ style in a citrus vinaigrette on a bed of Napa Cabbage.

    Third Course:

Pea shoot salad with marinated seaweed in ginger and sesame seed oil. On the side was a Dungeness crab salad in a mango vinaigrette wrapped in a long cucumber slice made into a cup accompanied with shrimp wonton.

    Fourth Course

Wild mushroom soup with crème fraich. Lamb soup with white beans.

    Fifth Course:

    Passion fruit and champagne sorbet.

    Sixth Course:

Petite filet with a peppercorn sauce, garlic mash potato nest garnished with water crest and roasted fennel.

    Dessert:

A plate containing Bushmills crème brulee, lava cake with raspberry sauce, Jamison’s Irish cream whiskey cake with rum soaked raisins and home made vanilla ice cream.

Feeling like a beached whale this morning!

    Tums!!!

Dude, that could have fed all the hungry kids in Sudan for a week j/k :)

I also have these occasional rampages where I go all out - the general theme is lots of variety and lots of quantity. My favorite restaurants for this kinda eating:
    - Fogo de Chao in Houston, TX and
    - Palace BBQ in Santa Clara, CA

Seven Sisters at the Black Oak Casino in Sonora, CA. You can view their general menu at http://www.blackoakcasino.com/dining/dining.htm. I knew this was going to be 'one of those meals'. Bringing a digital camera would have been a bit tacky. Diet starts tomorrow!
