Last Friday, I wanted to take out my TR to a local Car Cruise.. Well, I didn't get there.. When backing out of the garage, I accidently drove over the carb spacer of my '68 Vette race car. (the engine of the car is out and the spacer&studs were on the garage floor.. The carb studs were in the spacer and when I drove over the stud, the tire deflated immediately.. Luckily, I still have my original 16" wheels & tires and I replaced the wheel&tire.
The tires on my 18" Modena wheels are 215/45ZR18 Pirelli P ZERO Direzionale.
Tried to get that tire locally with no success. They told me that it's a special order that can take over a week. Had to order it from Tirerack.com... Should be here tomorrow or on Thursday..
Got a pretty good deal on the tire.. $233 + shipping..

BUZZKILL :( !! Sorry to hear this Olivier. But the Dunlops SP 8000s are only about a year old and maybe 4-5k miles on them ( + the miles you put on them :) ). So, you can throw them on and hit 150+ with confidence :D :D !!!

Other than this, how is 88564 treating you???

I've driven about 700 miles since I brought the car back from Long Island (over 1200 miles).
No issues at all except that the A/C isn't as cold as it could be. Thinking in converting to R134a. I posted in Tech Q&A to see if anybody did that..

I'm surprised that the clutch is still holding up after over 18k miles on it.. Might try to swap it myself once it's due. Found a place that rebuilds the clutch disc for $895.. That's a huge savings over the price of a new clutch and if I can re-use the flywheel, it won't be too expensive.

I was planning on making it to the Ferrari Show at St. Armands, but there was some rain in the forecast and I don't really want to get into rain.. Too much work cleaning afterwards!! I like the Modena wheels, so the Dunlops on the TR wheels won't see too many miles except maybe to shows where originality counts. I love the handling of the Pirelli P ZERO tires..The TR feels even tighter with those low profile tires. Didn't do too many high speed runs around here.. Too many cops around. Even with the V1, slowing down from 150 to 55 might take too long LOL!!
