    Hello,

I sent the car into prep before driving to SEPANG track day this Thursday : ) and just had a call from them saying that my engine mounts have decided to R.I.P. on me and need replacement. How serious is this? and whats their average life? I will change them anyway but just think that I should at least know about this item so thanks for sharing info if anyone have had this issue before. ( I drive my car daily and do track occasionally so she is def not the garage queen.)

    Thanks
    Peng

Hard to pick the life of an engine mount, or anything rubber for that matter. :):)
Some will last the life of the car, some will not. That goes for any car, not only Ferraris. :):)

It would probably pay to get them done, especially if you do track the car. But........it is not the end of the world if you dont get them done either. :):)

Here are pics of what they may look like cracked and/or broken. That mount has also sagged over the years.
They are 355 mounts from an Fchatters car that he replaced not too long ago. ;);)

Those sure look familiar :D One thing that kills these things is the heat from the headers running right overhead. I made up some titanium heat shields to help that.
