Wiping the inside of my wheels and noticed oil dripping out of the front left boot coming from the steering rack. Can i just put a new boot on without replacing the joint since the steering is still smooth?

How much are these boots and where can i get them?

    Thanks..

Check with Ricambi or GT Car PArts. If not there is a place that I sent the rack in my ex-308 that rebuilt it for around $130

No biggie. Pull the half shaft, remove the offending boot, clean and re-lube the joint with the right grease, put a new boot on there and re-install. Take a couple hours. There are some good how-to threads, but this one is the best:

Umm, Possibly got the wrong end of the stick there, Birdman?
Or in this case wrong end of the car.

    climb,
I think Superperformance have boots, rack o/haul kits etc.

LOL You'll forgive Birdman's mental blank. Doing his own rack currently. Sub-conscious defense mechanism. ;)

    LOL!

Thanks for the thread Birdman. Have to keep that one in mind if the rear end needs new cv boots.

    I'll try Superformance.
