I bought a new leather couch a few years ago, and the back cushions are sewn to the couch itself. There are several tears stemming from where the back cushions are sewn to the couch, thanks to my dog.

What can I do about this? I am wondering if I can get someone out to my house to somehow repair it on site, or do I have to take it to a leather shop. Anyone have any suggestions?

My dad hired a guy to come out and restore the leather in his Infinity Q45. He patched some areas, did some of this a little of that and now it looks brand spanking new. Maybe try to find a Auto interior repair guy that works on high end cars? They have their equipment ready to travel, so coming to you would be easy.

That's the plan.....call the guy who fixes the interiors on the cars at the dealership you work for......my guy does about 75% dealer and 25% household leather repair work. Cat scratches on leather sofas.....etc......

Maybe I am not understanding but why would they sew the cushions to the leather?? That sounds like you are just asking for trouble .

Oh and plus 1 on the car guy. Some of them can do absolute wonders!!!
