I'm out to lunch and just caught this on tv. Looks pretty bad its picking up tractor trailers and throwing them around like they are feathers. Hope everyone is ok!

Ron & Stephanie live over there, I hope everything is OK. I'm now getting heavy rain with some hail on the west side of Fort Worth.

    Man, I hate tornados.

A funnel lowered over my house about an hour ago. Thankfully, it went back up. Don't know if it ever lowered again and touched down, but I saw it and I sure felt it.

No damage to my place, but a house down the street from me had half of its roof blown off. Scary stuff.

My building just made us evacuate to the stairwell. Not fun, it's a 12 story building and my office is on the 10th floor. We have an underground 'tunnel' that goes to our parking garage, I was planning on heading there. Appears that the lemmings decided otherwise, they wouldn't leave the stairwell. I got stuck behind a few hundred other people somewhere around the 5th floor.

Crazy rain in downtown dallas and lots of flooding. I just got home and there is a pretty bad 4 car accident right outside my building. Drive safe everyone! I could barely see in front of me from the rain and all the flooding.

    Glad you're ok.
I've been hearing some crazy/scary stuff.
It wasn't bad near me thankfully but I did have to sit in a safe area for a while so that sucked.

Probably about 40 cars in my office parking lot lost their windshield, back windows, and/or sunroofs thanks to the golf ball size hail in Coppell. Every single one of the several hundred cars has at least minimal hail damage and most have quite a bit. I stopped counting at 65 dents in my car plus the 5 in the windshield.

The nursing home and houses in Arlington that were severly damaged weren't but 2-3 miles from here on the UTA campus. It's unreal to think of how close that was, stay safe people

I saw 4 cars on tow trucks on the way home from work that had the windows smashed out of them and rest of the car was badly beaten. Makes me glad I have a parking garage.

We got very luck on the east side of Coppell. Only pea sized hail. 2 miles west and nearly every car has shattered windows. My wife side the hail was so loud and the wind shook the house so much that she thought a tornado was hitting the house.

Before the funnel lowered, I was in a local Wells Fargo looking for some Kennedy half dollars. I could hear hail hitting very loudly on the roof. I hurried and got out of there, and rushed towards my place. About two minutes away from my house, I was at a stoplight, looked to the east, and this is what I see out of my window. [IMG]

This is when I really started to panic, as my house is in that area. At another stoplight, I look over again and it's going back up into the clouds. I get home (to a fortunately undamaged house), and see if any stations would pick up without satellite. 11 did, so I kept it on there. At one point, the signal went out, the wind picked up, and I could see sheets of rain just BLOWING to the north. I noticed the funnel was lowered again not too far from here, but not to the ground. That's when I went to the "safe spot" in my house.

Definitely a very scary experience. I'm thankful my house didn't get damage. As I said earlier, a house down the street from mine had half of its roof blown off.

    That's crazy!!
I didn't see any funnels around me thankfully. That just looks flat scary especially knowing it's above your house.
On the map there was a nice circle around my area that indicated no rain. Finally the red part hit and it rained hard for a few minutes but nothing compared to you guys.
This was a scary day for many people and I wish a speedy recovery to all of those who took on damage during today's storm.

Saw the video this morning of the tractor trailers being thrown around like cupcakes.

    Hope everyone is alright.

Pictures were sent to me by a friend who was leaving his job about a mile away from where the pictures were taken. At that point, it was the second time it had lowered. I put that one on Facebook and it really started to spread.

There is a Ford dealer at that corner (you can see some of it in left part of the picture, and in the second one on that link, a dealer promo Edge is returning to it) where a video was shot at. I've seen it on the local channels a few times, and even once on CNN.
