Hey. Rock says we have nothing better to to than be on f-chat.... Yah bastard!!! Thanks bro. I'll remember that! V..
Amazing turnout, just to mention everyone I was the teen with the leather Lucky Strike coat and longer hair. The camera was clicking and I have plenty to show
WOW....that was a load of fun! Good Job on the drive boys, it was all that and more! And Arshad.....let me be the first to say "REMEMBER....it's NOT a race!!!"
Yeah, I was a no-show. But with family, you drop & run . . . Thanks for all the nice words guys. She's improving. Sounds like you had fun. Post some pictures. And next time . . . Ian
Ian, I'm glad to hear that her health is improving. We had a totally awesome time and really missed having you out there. Again I wanted to thank you for helping in the planning of the route -- the feedback I got was that everyone really enjoyed it! I also wanted to thank Paul again for setting up our starting location and making all the arrangements with the LMC people! Thomas: You should have introduced yourself! I saw you there, but didn't know who you were. We had a fantastic turnout, the weather was amazing, and I think everyone really enjoyed themselves. There were a few minor quirks, a few people getting lost, some issues with the lunch setup etc, but overall I think it went off quite well. The one thing I'll definitely spend more time on next run is to figure out a good way to keep the group together. BTW, the guys shooting the video think it'll take them a week or so to edit the thing together and they will then make it freely available for download on the internet. I'll keep everyone posted on the status of that once it becomes available. Here are a few quick pics I snapped, hopefully others will post more: Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
It would have been quite awkward walking up randomly to people but I was glad to see everyone have a good time and im the process of puttin together a nice home movie Image Unavailable, Please Login
Anytime. I thought it was common knowledge that the Porsche guys always know all the best roads . . . Ian
Here's a short video clip from my camera. It plays back fine under QuickTime, I think it's MPEG-4. I'll try and convert it to WMV and put it up after as well. http://www.manta.ca/springfling/pics/murci.mov I got some video on the camcorder too which I'll post up once I've edited it down a bit.
WOW!! looks like you all had a fantastic time! Sorry I missed it...I will be at the next one for sure!
The video compilation is almost complete everyone just need to edit and review, about 4 minutes in length!
Arshad: Rediculously awsome race...oh wait..i mean rally Two Thumbs up for you man! PureEuroM3: Were you shooting video of us leaving mandarin? If so..can you send me Ian: Hope everything is going better on your end. goldyF355: were you the guy who got stopped by the citizenry? Rest of the Ferrari guys: PICK UP THE PACE
DJ! Dude, did you rewind my camcorder before you started recording by any chance? I had a bunch of video at the start of everyone pulling out of the lot and all of that is gone... it starts from when we're already rolling. Argh.. that part was awesome! Thomas: looking forward to your clip!
Who can convert the media file I am trying but it is not working . The bad part is my clip will only be from the final Lunch point.
Arshad, great put together, and to Paul and Ian as well.......Ian sad not to see you, but I am glad the home front is much better than yesterday. Great seeing everyone, my wife and I had great fun, though we did not expect to enter the Cannonball run today...lol! Forza Italia, you're Murc is much better in person than any pics ive seen on here...........great ride....enjoy it in good health and many more years to come, its a beautiful machine. John, glad you and the Miss made it out, the tubi on you're 348 sounds heavenly Lets not discuss the sound of the Diablo......enough said. Rocco, glad you and the Mrs made it out, it was great fun, you always have me in stitches my freind. Tom, Im glad you found your lighter !!! lol !!!! Regards to all my fellow fchatters!!
What format are you trying to convert from/to? I used to have a really good conversion program but I recently lost my HD and I just realized I didn't reinstall that program -- need to find it before I can convert anything.
I had great fun, though we did not expect to enter the Cannonball run today...lol! Yeah.. uh.. well.. At least nobody got any tickets! I think some of those residents were pissed even though we were going slowly through the residential areas. I think just hearing loud exhausts and people driving by in low gear make them think we're going faster than we actually are. I feel bad for that guy in the yellow NSX.. he got stopped by 3 different people and got yelled at!
