Arshad, I didn't touch any buttons except for the on, zoom and record. That's it. Amaaaazing run guys! Yeah we got an earful in the yellow NSX several times... Great to see the Murcie make it out on the run today, that was very unexpected. And As Rick mentioned, lets not discuss the menacing Diablo Roadster... Thomas, when I try your link, I get: "This is a private video. If you have been sent this video, please make sure you accept the sender's friend request." DJ: Darn, I don't know what happened then. I had a bunch of video I recorded at the start, including all of the cars pulling out and it's all gone I had crappy luck last time out too when my camera went into powersavings mode. Maybe I'll have better luck in the fall with video!
Arshad, that really sucks man. But I know for a fact I didn't touch anything else on that camera . By the way, here's a pic I turned into a wallpaper because I absolutley love this shot. If anyone wants it, 1024x768 version is here: http://img238.imageshack.us/img238/2755/yellowdevil8ti.jpg
Great run folks!! I heard the cops had been called just after we went through the forks of the credit. I guess they need faster squad cars!
Yeah the camera crew called me on the cell and told me the cops had been called. I saw a cop car heading up Hwy 10, but most people had already cleared through forks by then. No tickets that I know of. When I lead through the forks, we went ultra slow, AT the speed limit throughout except at the very end, and even then it was maybe 10-15 over following another regular car. I think the real problem was when we cut across on Mill road as the residents on that street got pissed. They probably see all kinds of people doing the forks run going through there so they probably don't have much patience for high powered exotics passing through. In any future runs, we'll definitely want to avoid these kinds of side roads. AB: Nice pic!
Thanks Arshad. Tom, we saw a cop car going north on Hwy 10, but we (Rick + the Yellow NSX fellow) were the last 2 cars of the group, so I doubt he got anyone at all. Moreover, we were going at the same speed as traffic, just calmly driving along
Amazing day guys, just got home now. Arshad thanks so much for putting the event together, it is much appriciated by everyone. Nice seeing everyone again! I took over 600 pictures so they should be up by tomorrow.
Thanks Arshad for a very enjoyable day today. I had a great time, and it was great to finally meet all the people that are regulars here. There was some magnificent looking iron there today, and thanks to all the kind words I got from most of you. There have been some nice photo's posted already. Unfortunatly I forgot to bring my camera that I left charging all night, so I'm depending on all of my friends here to show us what you have.
The video is pretty bad but I have clips I can send on demand. It is now public and all pics will be up by the end of tomorow hopefully. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nW8hBp9VWd0
Too bad the pic quality wasnt great, but it was nice.......i cant believe the sound of the tr and the 550 what a difference between the 12s in sound. The fact that you had them both back to back you can here the pitch difference between them...thanks for sharing.
Funny, I was just watching that segment a few times...I loved the sound! Although, the Yellow Murci sounded the sickest of all when it let go.....that is one wild car Joe! Im surprised we didn't hear the yellow Diablo roadster hit it...but that other red Diablo was boosting What a great drive!
Cool video Thomas, and thanks for the credit at the end! If you'd like, I can get you in touch with the video production company and you can send them the raw DV clips that they can then edit into the main video that they're putting together.
Check out the pics! http://supercarfreak.net/gallery/album1424 Lucas, as usual, you've done an incredible job! Some really amazing photos in there!
