    does anyone know what I need to torque the wheels on my F40 to. I was told a number by someone who should know but I need to double check.Thanks

    The factory manual calls for 65 Kg or about 470 lbs/ft.

    I have a monster sized torque wrench (48 inch) for mine and an air driven torque wrench to loosen the nut. Remember that the nuts are opposite on the l eft and right. They always loosen toward the front of the car -clockwise on the right and anti-clockwise on the left.

    I was told 380# and thought that was very high I guess Ill probably buy a large torque wrench it was hard to believe that aluminum nut could stand to that much pressure thanks for your help

    470# is correct. I use a standard torque wrench and a multiplier.

    It has to be very high when there is only 1 lug on the wheel. I'm sure you wouldnt want it backoff during a drive and loosing the wheel.
