    I have noticed that most mechanics use the same specific yellow marker to identify an area that they have completed the torquing of a nut/bolt.

    What is the name of that "marker"? I have never seen one in a parts store but then again I have never looked for one either.

    Good question. I just did a quick Google search for "torque marker pens" and a bunch of stuff popped up. I think they're pretty easy to find.

    Same brand I found using your search criteria. I might try and find one locally for my next service. I used a fine point sharpie during my last DIY service.

    FWIW, Dykem Blue has been a standard for machinists to use in laying out marks on metal for 50 years or more, so they know how to make a color stick to metal.
