I've paid the premium in full July 2024. Car was totalled oct 2024. I kept the policy active to hopefully replace it soon. But I'm concerned about the impact of the claim at renewal.
As anyone been in this situation?

Was it an at fault accident? Depending on at fault or not, and which insurance company, you may get non-renewed or a huge premium increase.

I rear ended someone in my Porsche and bent the frame so it was a total loss. They paid me out more than I paid for the car. My rates were higher but not that bad if I recall correctly. I did not get dropped surprisingly. This was GEICO.
