Alright. Im about to blow a fuse. I ordered a new TDC because I was getting no fire a either bank. I tested old TDC sensor and it was reading 0 ohms. Got the new one today, tested it and read about 750 on ananlog meter. I was sure Id put it and and viola. But nothing. Ive checking volatge to ECU and 12 volts. I have a good ground (I guess). Im getting 750 ohms on both TDC and Tach sensor.

I suppose my ECU could be bad but what would be the odds that both the ecu and the tdc sensor were bad at the same time. I found and ECU from T. Rutlands for $750 on ebay. I hate to toss $750 out the door if that isnt it.

Am I missing something? Can the ECU be bench tested? Is there and alternative aftermarket system that would replace the factory ecu, like MSD?

Thank so much, I appreciate the help. I feel so helpless because this feels like it should be an easy solution but 3 weeks later and still no solution

I have my ECU available for sale right now and its for sale at $300 or BIN for $350, here is the link, http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=320440946443&viewitem=&sspagename=STRK%3AMESELX%3AIT. I removed it as I went to a ELECTROMOTIVE setup. Let me know if you are interested.

+1. The grounding has definitely been an issue on my 87 Mondial 3.2 cab. For me it's been the Sirius radio ground wire, which is a far cry from your engine problems. I wish you luck. And you've gotta get it fixed. Not many days left here in the tri-state area this year to enjoy her with the top down, esp with all this rain we've been having and winter coming.
