    I did a search.
I only have a couple spots that are about as big as the "clickable" end of a ball point pen.

I have not had to fix my engine paint, but will eventually need to, so I want to follow this process.

The paint has a unique texture called "wrinkle" or "crackle" I think. I am not sure how to touch up and keep the texture. I also assume the paint needs to be high-heat, some kind of engine paint. This will make an exact match difficult IMO.

Duplicolor and Krylon make high temp paints in various red shades, but I imagine the entire intake should need to be repainted because the shade will not match.

Can you post an image of the paint imperfection?

I will attach a few images of the texture.

The two areas are so tiny that it wouldn't matter if the paint were wrinkly or not. We are talking a couple of millimeters in width (like the clickable end of a ball point pen). I will look for some wrinkle paint though as it sounds like it is also heat resistant.
    Thanks!

I've got a similar question. I just noticed a chip in the paint on my intake manifolds that wasn't there before. It's maybe at most the size of a dime. I guess I will take it to a body shop to see if it is something that can be touched up.

When I've had past problems with plenums and valve covers losing their finish in Ferraris, I've pulled the affected parts when I've done majors and had them powder coated. Problem solved!
