Not every Rosso Corsa red is the same, buying over-the-counter prematched paint has never matched well before & will be a waste of your time. keep in mind that red is one of the most difficult colors to match. Your best bet is to try a body shop & have them make you some touch up paint. Most modern shops have PPG photographic matching system that’s about 99% correct.

I have a little nick on the front spoiler of my car. I scraped it and tiny bit of the paint came off, I would like to touch that up. It is nothing huge but I would like to take care of it. The rest of the front is perfect just this little nick I would enjoy fixing. Does anyone know a place online that carries it though?

Not sure if this helps, but I ordered my 996 in Fly yellow, and bought touch up paint from the Ferrari dealership here in town. I used that along with a product called Langka to hide my chips... Works awesome unless you get right up on it, and you don't see the blobs. IMHO if you don't point it out, 99% of the time, no one notices, it's all just in our heads. The website for the product is Langka.com

By the way, I have no affiliation with them, just very satisfied with the product.

Go to this site... Provided your car is not faded - they have just about every F-car color you can want. Take a look at your color identifier on your car or in your owners manual and match the number with what you are looking for.

I have used this on 3 of my f-cars for minor rock chips in the front spoiler - and all have matched perfectly.

If you are going to respray the entire front spoiler - take it to a shop - if you are doing a few minor chip repairs - this will be helpful...

Regardless of what touchup paint you finally get, you'll find that using Langka afterwards will really make the chip almost invisible after application. If you use this link and end up buying something, they'll make a donation to the Ferrari Club. They're great supporters, and have a great product.

No body seemed to be with me on this one before but you can get the Duplicolor red for Toyota at Wallymart for example and you can't tell the difference. The container has a pen applicator which is nice for little rock chips etc.

I've used Toyota Red on my 308QV and you're right, it's perfect for those small rock chips.

you can also use a wooden tooth pick to touch up those very small nicks; better than a cardboard match stick.

Which colors have you tried? Were any of them metallic? I've heard metallic colors are harder to match with touch-up paints.

61 GTE (Blue) 67 GTC (blue as well but different (lighter) than the gte) and 300/12 or Rossa for the 355 Spider. None were metallic...

My assumption is that metallic would be more difficult to match as you mentioned - in a small area like a rock chip - still should be ok - if the area is small... I think with metallic I might opt for a small can of the paint - so you can try to blend the colors a little more... With the scratch pen - it is really just push and go - similar to a magic marker... So you would not get the "flake blend" that you would want.

I recently bought the Rosso Corsa 300 red from www.paintscratch.com and it matches my car perfectly.
