I finally got tired of searching the web for a small amount of touch up paint for my 77 308 so I contacted my local paint distributor and asked if they could match my paint without having a painted part of the car. They said bring in the car and they'll match it up. So I just got back and for those who don't know or for those who have sun worn paint this scheme was great. They took out a special camera and placed it on the rear lid (flat surface) and took 5 snapshots. Took the camera inside and plugged it into the computer and got the mix codes. I had them mix me up a touch up bottle and 15 minutes at $7 later I had the paint. I also have the mix number for future reference. Just an FYI for everyone.

This is the ONLY way to get a guaranteed match-up to any paint more than a couple of years old. Especially red which is notorious for changing shade slightly over time.

This is the way body shops guaranteed a color match. The days of shops buying 'factory pack' paint against a color code are long gone.
