Hey Martin, William said I should check out your collection :) I'm heading out on a cruise, I should be getting into Miami at 10am and head out on the cruise around 4pm, earliest check-in is 1:30pm. so I have at least 4hrs to kill.

You don't want to cut it too close. If the boat leaves at 4pm you want to be there at 2pm. Especially with the gigantic boats that roll out of Miami. 2500+ people checking in.

My collection is pretty small right now. A few Challenge cars.

Main problem is, I am racing the ext 4 weekends back to back. 3 weekends in Sebring and then the Key West Rally. So unfortunately I won't be here and the shop is closed.

    Here would be my advise:

Find out what you can do with the luggage. If the cruise has a way of storing it or, some cruiselines have checkin at the airport and you can leave your bags already with them.
Then take a cab to South Beach and have a nice walk along Ocean Drive. If you like it stay around there till 2 and grab a cab to the port. The Port is actually alongside South Beach but you have to go back to the mainland to head into the cruise post. No big deal (10min cab ride)
If you find SoBe boring head to Bayside Mall, which is right by the entrance to the port. It has some nice shops and restaurants (Hooters may not be considered a restaurant but...). You can spend 2h there shopping and eating and from there hop over the bridge and be at the port. (2min).

Good idea for some lunch and the view if you have a few good hours, say four or more.

We take 4-5 cruises a year... They tell you that boarding begins at 1:30 or so, but in reality it usually begins between 11am and noon. I would never recommend flying in on the day of your cruise, but if your flight is ontime at 10am, it's going to be pushing 11am by the time you get off the plane and get your luggage. It's 20 to 30 minutes or so from MIA to the Port of Miami if there aren't any traffic problems... It's a zoo at the port on weekend days, I wouldn't bother trying to sightsee, save that for another time and get straight to the port and on the ship. That way you'll have time to have lunch onboard, make any reservations, get settled into your cabin and get up on deck to enjoy the view as the ship sails out of the port.
