Completing one of these along with a half marathon are on my to do list for the coming year. Just have to rehab my knee after surgery on last Friday. It looks like a great time.
whoa, not at all what I expected... hopefully I'll be in good enough shape to do it next year. I think the closest one is on the other side of Lake MI.
I was planning on doing it last year when I ruptured my bicep tendon (prepping for the Brazlian Jiu Jitsu Pan Ams). After surgery to re-attach - and 6 month rehab - I'm ready, but not in shape to do it this year. Good luck with your rehab - hope it goes well and you have total recovery!
I was supposed to do a Warrior Dash a month ago but, oddly enough, we couldn't find anyone to watch our kids. Big family and everyone was out. No big deal; will do one in spring. A Warrior Dash isn't nearly as difficult as a TM but it should be a fun way to prepare. My wife and I were in Lake Tahoe two months ago and they were advertising for a TM at Squaw Valley. I think it's 6000 ft altitude there. I did some hiking and I could feel the elevation. Can't image what the race would have been like. GT
A companion piece: http://www.cnbc.com/id/45554832 Per the interview in the video posted earlier, the tattoo gets you a discount to future events...seems fair.
