Touring Italy With the Ferrari of Your Choice

I just returned from a ski trip to COurmayeur

after skiing we drove around Lake Como

Definately Slutmobile territory

 

Man that's a hell of a price tag, but totally worth it

 

I did this drive. Would be amazing in an f-car

 

That looks like the most fun to have in Italy. I've wanted to bring my girlfriend to Italy and propose to her in the Tuscan scenery. This might be a great way to do it.

Honestly, to me, it doesn't seem all that expensive. Your 7 night stay is covered, car (minus the gas), insurance, dinners and a few lunches, tour guide/driver guide, itinerary, and city tours (such as everything in Rome)...all that is covered.

All the hotels are 5 star, top notch hotels and spas. Seems as though you get first class treatment.

I fly southwest, so if I could save up a free roundtrip flight (which is easy to do since I fly about once a month). That would cover flying across the US to New York or DC. Then fly international.

I would much rather do this tour than a hastely self put together tour of Italy. I'd spend more time being lost than enjoying myself.

Insurance in Italy is higher than the U.S. by a lot. When I renter a car last year I think it was 1k for the time I was there. I didn't have a Ferrari.

 

The only outrageous price (to me) is the deposit. I couldn't find anywhere if it is refundable or not. If it is refundable, then by God I am there!

 

Toured Italy and the Alps last year in a ferrari of my choice. Took my family in a 456 for a week. Thought some of the long mountain tunnels i wish i was in my 355 spider with Capristo. Great tour though.

Has anyone found pricing information on their web site, or is the only pricing in the NYTimes article?

I spent 15 minutes trying to find that, until I realized that the writer took the total distance traveled per day to mean the top speed. Weird.

 

Not cheap but not bad either provided the deposit is returned. This would definetly be a great trip to take with girlfriend's/wives you get to drive a ferrari they get to see italy. I'll take a red spider

ANyone seen francesco's italy on travelchannel? He doesn't drive a ferrari but he does drive an alfa spider and visits fiat.

 

We've rented some really neat Alfa's in Italy that get you down the autostrada at a pretty good clip for a mere fraction of those folks costs - granted not a Ferrari but unless you're a status seeker the money could be spent in better ways! It's no biggie to be driving a Ferrari in Italy (nor is it an Alfa).

We've feen watching Francesco's Italy since it aired several weeks ago. Great program with lots of little tips on out of the way places and not so touristy things to do. We've been to several of the places he's visited and definitely has us wanting to travel Italy again for something other than trips to Maranello or Monza for car events! The program was produced by the BBC a couple years ago if I remember the credits correctly.
