Anyone up for Tower Shops this Friday night? Weather permitting of course.
Boxer going to Tim Stanford's in the morning, needs both alternators rebuilt. So if its ready, I will be there.
I am down for this! Although I have no idea what it is or where it is. Never been. Bill can I follow you there? .m
Sure, not a problem. We may have to go in via the long backway due to traffic and road construction. Tower Shops are located just off University Dr. and about 1.5 blocks south of State Road 84/I-595 at the Home Depot shopping plaza in Davie. We have a regular spot to meet. We try to get there as early as possible to get parking spots, usually by 5:30-6:30pm.
I've been at the towershops almost every Friday for the past 5 years (maybe even longer). It's good to get together with friends to talk about who bought what and who broke what. Plus, it's a central meeting place for everyone and you get to see some pretty interesting cars... and some pretty scary ones too.
going off the deep end. bought and sold a 911 the other day, have a 996 race car for sale and bought this 356 Coupe. Really looking for a 356 Speedster eventually. May get a recreation 550 James Dean Spyder to tool around in. Gaby loves that car. Yep sold my 360 and all I have left is the 355 Challenge and the 360 Challenge.
I want a new daily driver. Have been thinking about a 911/Cayman. I might go to Champion this weekend to look.
Look....I can get you the car cheaper than Champion. There are a dime a dozend out there. Personally I would go with the 996-997 instead of a Cayman. Rather than a new Cayman buy a 2 year old 996 for the same money. Much more car for the $$$.
Hey Guys, what exactly goes on the Tower Shops on Friday nights? I would like to start participating. Thanks
bunch of old rednecks showing off their old muscle cars.... serious, you should just go one of these days. Kind of cool. Kind of funny too. You have guys that meet every Friday night and sit in lawn chairs behind their vintage cars, hot-rods and other cars. Have not been for a while but the PT Cruiser club met there as well and the Chevy Maser club. Different crowd from what you are used to. Hop on the Turnpike from your home and get off 595 west to Univeristy, make a left on University and it is the first big shopping center with AleHouse and Home Depot.
Bill, I would appreciate it if you would stop putting miles on my future LBB-NSX. Please leave it in the garage, covered. Your check is waiting when you decide to move up to an F-car. Carl
You can probably use some of your Social Security to pay for that car. It will be for sale in 2048, just after the world oil supply is fully depleted. BT
damn it. Looks great today despite the weather girl saying that we will have showers through the day. I took the Z1 home. I am prepared.
