I am planning to tow my 456M GTA on a trailer for about 1,500 miles.

It will be in an enclosed trailer, and I plan on securing it with ratchet straps around the wheels as I have done with race cars in the past.

I am wondering if I should leave the transmission in neutral or leave it in Park?

I guess I'm worried that the rocking motion of the journey might cause some damage to the gearbox if it's in Park.

I'd appreciate any guidance or suggestions.

I always leave my cars in neutral while being trailerd. IMO, your intuition is correct and you dont want the car constantly bumping on the synchros or gears.

Expert advice from many respected Ferrari mechanics is always to leave it in neutral.

Don't forget to be careful where you put the wheel straps if you don't want the finish rubbed off your wheels in spots!
