I have been posting this story in another thread in the General discussion forum. Just wanted to start a thread all it's own it's getting so good now!

    HERE'S THE FULL STORY------------

I got an e-mail after losing an eBay auction for a watch. The following is the e-mail I got and then my reply. Hat's off to Uro for the idea which I shamelessly borrowed.

His e-mail (sent through a legitimate e-bay account by the way!)

Do not reply to this email.Contact the seller at this e-mail address: [email protected] You expressed interest in an item titled "Genuine Girard-Perregaux Ferrari F300 Mens Watch @$1 ! Item number: 5010284796" by bidding, however the auction has ended with another member as the high bidder. In compliance with eBay policy, the seller - XXXXXXXXXXXXXX - of the above mentioned item is making this Second Chance Offer to you at your bid price of US $XXXXX . The seller has issued this Second Chance Offer because either the winning bidder was unable to complete the transaction or the seller has a duplicate item for sale.If you accept this offer, you will be able to exchange Feedback with the seller and will be eligible for eBay services associated with a transaction, such as fraud protection. To purchase this item, do not reply to this email.Contact the seller at this e-mail address: [email protected] Copyright

    My reply:

    Loren,

I got your e-mail about the second chance offer to buy the watch. I'd like to buy the watch and have the money.

I have to be honest with you though, I'm a little suspicious. Why would you sell me the watch now when the auction didn't even make the top, or limit, or reserve or whatever it is they call it. I'm not very good at this e-bay thing. My grandson uses my account a lot to buy things.

I'm not one to look a gift horse in the mouth but I need some proof that this deal is OK. I would really like it if you would pretend to be a part of our family and take a picture of you wearing the watch while holding a sign with my family name on it.

I was trying to buy this watch for my grandson who is really into those Mustangs or was it Ferraris. Oh, whatever you guys call them. They all are too loud and too fast, and if you ask me I think he's going to kill himself one of these days.

Once I get the picture I can send the money however you want it. I need to do this in a little hurry though because my grandson's birthday is coming up in about a week. I can't believe he's going to 30 years old this year. It seems lilke yesterday he was just a little Wanker and now he's a full-grown Wanker.

    Thank you,

    Puhlina Wanker

    AND MY REPLY.......

    Andrew,

It's nice to hear from you again. I really want to buy this watch but you still haven't sent me the picture I asked for.

If you send me a picture of you holding a sign with my last name on it I will send you the money however you want. I don't care if it goes through e-bay or not if you send me the picture. Once I see the picture I will know I can trust you and I will go to the bank and wire you the money.

I know you wouldn't take advantage of your new friend. In fact if you can get me the picture today I will send you an extra $200. I really want to have the watch to give to my grandson next week for his birthday.

Once we get this all done I'd really like to meet you and your family. Maybe I could get together with you and your wife and we could have some fun. I imagine you are both beautiful young people. Do you think she would like to be with an older man? I can still perform so that's not a problem (I just have to take one little blue pill and it works for hours!)

Please send me the picture and let me know where to wire the money.

    Your friend,
    Puhlina Wanker

Andrew seems to be busy, or I scared him off one of the two. Time to start hounding him now! I never got a reply after my last e-mail so I sent him one today.

    IT READ LIKE THIS:

    Andrew,

Did you get my last e-mail? I want to get this watch to give to my grandson for his birthday. I thought you were going to send me the picture I wanted so I could send you the money. I even went to the bank and took out $2500 so I could wire it to you (I know that's more than you were asking but I really want this watch and you have been so helpful so far).

All I need is the picture and for you to tell me where to wire the money. I hope I didn't scare you off with that talk about your wife. It's just that I get so lonely sometimes. It would be so nice to feel a woman's tender touch again.

I won't talk about that anymore though (I don't want to make any more jizz stains on my shorts!!)

Please send me the picture of you I want and tell me where to wire the money. I have a western union just up the road from my house. I can be there in 15 minutes flat if I walk fast!!

    Your Friend,
    Puhlina

PS I'm including a picture of myself so you know I am really who I say I am.

Now I'm just waiting for him to reply with his contact info. If I can tell where he is I might even try to contact the local authorities. I figured I'd send him a note telling him that he is a REAL WANKER and send him two cents. Any other ideas?

I know that won't happen though because he doesn't have the watch. He hijacked an ebay users account to send me the original second chance e-mail (and it wasn't even the same account that had the watch for sale!). I already contacted the guy who's account he used and he changed his password. I'm guessing that's why "Andrew" asked for the item # again, because he can't get back into the account and read what he sent originally.

    This is actually pretty fun!

NO, don't quit! the fun's just starting! You can make him go to the Western Union 3 or 4 times if you tell him you sent the money.

He'll go the first time, and then eMail you and say that it's not there.

Then you post a fake Western Union receipt and he'll go again. You can probably get him to do that 3 or 4 times before he catches on.

    Good Luck Puhlina!

We're vicious? No not really, just having some fun with a real Wanker! He's the one trying to rip off what he thinks is a lonely old man, that I would call vicious.

I replied to my friend Andrew's last e-mail.....

    Andrew,

Thank you so much for the picture! I knew you would come through in the end. I also knew you would be a handsome young man! If you'd like to humor an old lonely man I'd really like a couple pictures of your wife. Now all I need is your information so I can send the money.

I'll schlepp on down to Western Union as soon as you send me your adress and phone # or whatever I need to send the money to you. How long do you think it will take for the watch to make it to me once you get the money? My grandson's birthday is coming up this week you know. I hope he brings a hot girlfriend to the party so I can grab her tight young butt.

Sorry, I said I wasn't going to talk like that any more didn't I. Oh, look at that, now I made another jizz stain. Oh I got it all over the money this time. It's ok though it'll wash right off. I'll include another $100 because of my little mistake too.

Send me your information as soon as possible so you can get the watch in the mail to me.

    Your Friend,
    Puhlina Wanker

This should be an Olympic sport!

For his own protection he can't show his face but he can tell you his name and that he works for the police? Why even mention that if it is for your safety? Preying on the elderly...he ought to be ashamed!

    MY REPLY.....

    Andrew,

I'm not very good at this kind of thing. Could you please explain to me what
I need to do to send you the money? I can't just put it in an envelope can
I? I don't know if it would make it all the way over to you in London.

I guess I'll try to talk to the people at the western union office and see
if they know how to do it.

By the way, I asked for a picture of you wearing the watch, and while the
picture you sent was great, I don't see the watch. I'm sure it must have
been cut out of the picture on accident.

I talked to a friend today that thinks this might be a scam but I told her ,
not my new friend Andrew. He wouldn't take advantage of a lonely old man
like me. I guess I should at least see the watch though before I send you
the money, just to be safe you know.

I'll look forward to seeing a pic of the watch on your handsome young wrist.

    Your Friend,
    Puhlina

A Google search on "2 Sebastopol Road" at that zipcode pulls up that it is a Romanian restaurant!

    Link: http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&q=%222+Sebastopol+Road%22

    Romanian restaurant 'The Britannia'
    2 Sebastopol Road, Edmonton, London N9 0GH, Tel. 0208 803 8409

One of the restaurant employees using their work address? Somebody should call, ask for the manager, and tell him what's up. Then call the cops. Make no mistake, this guy is a predator and is scum, scamming people like this.

Andrew sent me a note to explain why he can't send the picture of my new watch. He also included notes on how to send him the money. He's so helpful!!

    HERE IS THE E-MAIL:

    Hi again .
I`m very sorry sir but i can`t make a pictures with the watch because the watch is allready at the UPS office ready to be shippied.sir trust me sir i`m a serious men i don`t take advantage of a lonely man,

To submit the payment with Western Union Money Transfer you have the following option:
Pay for the transfer with cash at a local Western Union agent.
Click here to locate the agents in your area :
    http://www.westernunion.com/info/agentInquiryIntl.asp
However, Western Union Money Transfer is designed mainly for sending cash to friends and family in need, so telling them you are sending the money to an eBay seller will prevent your money transfer to go through and you will be unable to complete this transaction.
Because the fee to send a Western Union Money Transfer is high, compared to other methods of payment, we have arranged with the seller to compensate for half of this fee (i.e. if it costs you $100 to send the payment, take $50 from the amount insured and send the balance).

Once the payment was sent, email me the following information:
    1) 10 digit MTCN (Western Union Money Transfer Control Number):
    2) Exact sender's name on file with Western Union:
    3) Your street address on file with Western Union:
    4) City and country where you sent the money from:
    5) Amount sent:

Thank you and i wait your e-mail with payment confirmation to compleat the transaction

P.S Please e-mail me your full name and address to know where to send the watch.

I also was able to find a web-site for the address he sent. Not sure if it's his real address but I'm going to post it anyway http://www.romani.co.uk/restaurant.htm

I also thought since Andrew was being so helpful that he should be recognized for it. I contacted the London Police to tell them what a model employee they had working for them. Well almost, I actually sent them an e-mail telling them the whole story including the little fact that he really did claim to work for them.

This could really start to get interesting now.

Well let's just see how stupid "Andrew" really is. This is my latest e-mail:

    Andrew,

You know I really want to get this watch. Why can't you just go to the UPS place and take a quick picture? I'm starting to think maybe my REAL friend was right about you.

I still want to believe that you are a real gentleman like you say but you are making it hard. Maybe there really are people out there that take advantage of lonely od men like me but I hope your not one of them.

If you really can't get me the picture I want, maybe I'd feel better if I talked to you. Can you send me your phone number? Maybe if I talk to you I'll feel better about it.

    Let me know,
    Puhlina
