Toys For Tots

After spending 6 days in a hospital, I saw many things that truly warmed my heart. As sad as it is that this only happens at Christmas time, it was immediately something that my wife and I have decided to participate in for the future. As we get settled in the first night in ICU, a large group was making their way through the hospital visiting every child's room delivering toys. These people were dressed up in Santa hats, pushing large carts packed with hundreds of toys! Each child was given a toy of their choice to enjoy during their stay...and this happened 4 times while we were there! My son has been blessed enough that friends and family has stopped in bringing gifts for him, so we declined 3 of the 4 times so help ensure other less fortunate kids would get something to play with...but what an incredible feeling we had watching this all happen. There really are good people still out there!
