Hi all, I have an ongoing TPMS issue that I want to solve the most cost effective way. My 488 was in for its power warranty inspection and the dealer said 1 of the sensors is causing the TPMS error to come up. He couldn’t tell me which sensor or what the issue was. There are aftermarket wheels on the car so I assume they are not the original sensors (I also have the original wheels with sensors) Does anyone have any suggestions for getting this error to clear in the most cost effective way? do I have to get the Ferrari dealer to reprogram them? Should i have the wheels stripped and replace all? Is there a way of telling which one isn’t working? Can I program these myself with any specific tools? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Cheers,
You could try re-programming the TPMS sensors, most tire shops can do this. How old are the sensors in your wheels? Any track days on these wheels? High heat kills them a lot quicker. TPMS sensors usually last around 8-10yrs depending on use.
An Autel TS408 or 508 is what you need. Will diagnose an individual sensor if it has an issue, and will be able to clone a new one if needed. As an aside, what sort of dealer can’t diagnose an issue like this?
Not necessary, you program a sensor so it will then be able to talk to the car. The usual method is that you clone the faulty sensor, either by triggering it and the Autel then captures the hex code, or you read the code off the physical sensor (requires tire removal).

As someone also said any tire shop should be able to read the sensors and find the faulty one. Doesn’t your in car display tell you which sensor is faulty?
