I just purchased a 2017 488GTB. I checked the tire pressures and they are inflated properly. Because of stellar Italian engineering I cannot figure out how to reset or get rid of the TPMS warning icon on the left hand screen. Any help would be appreciated.

Sorry it's in Japanese but it's pretty straightforward. If it's anything like my 458 you have to turn the ignition to position II and then use the left TFT to initiate calibration.

Make sure your tires are set to the correct temperature and you don't have much radio interference. I'm having trouble resetting my 458 and it's maybe due to too much RF interference and the TPMS system not able to get a good read of my tires.

A lot of times plug-in USB chargers in the cigarette lighter can throw off a tremendous amount of RF - just like dash cams, radar detectors, etc. But stuff from China that plug into the car can really screw with anything RF related.

You might want to try removing any add-on electrical stuff and see if it helps the TPMS connect. Even a simple $3 USB mini charger plugged into the cigarette lighter can sometimes cause major issues.

I cannot get into the main car menu using the left control buttons. They do not do anything when I press them- "Turbo" "VDA" or "Back". If I hit the "OK" button this cycles the trip computer. Otherwise all those controls on the left side do not work. I used to have a 458 a few years ago and I remember it was pretty straightforward on getting to the car settings on the left screen. Maybe this car is defective on this matter.

Good to know. I have an FM transmitter in my cig lighter. That's probably throwing all sorts of RF.

Try resetting the car by following the battery disconnect and reconnect procedure in the manual.

Maybe, but heres what was happening to me. When stationary i would only get the parking sensor screen, didnt matter what buttons i pushed. Once moving I was able to access the screen, but then no TPMS option. If that's the issue, you need to manually turn off the parking sensor (above the rearview mirror) when sitting still and then you can access the screen & the option for TPMS reset will be there... hope that helps

Thanks Rotaryrocket7: turning off the parking sensor activated the screen. Who would have ever thought of this.
