I have a pair of 348 ECU-s (Bosch 0 261 200 457, p/n 142519) with certain "TPS" performance chips installed. I have not tried them yet on my 348. Has anyone had experience with these chips? Are they worth having?

    Nope,
    Haven’t even heard of them.

I do however have a set of Stooge chips in my 348. As far as I have tested (8500-8700rpm) they don’t seem to have a rev limiter, and I haven’t dyno tested them yet.

Found this search in the post for "of Florida". http://www.ferrarichat.com/discus/messages/251280/114913.html?1032210752

In a 348 with no turbo, no variable valve timing and wimpy injectors there is only so much you can do, it sucks and burns only as much as the VE can support. I see claims of 30hp with chips in stock 348, utter nonsense.

Now chips can be faster clock cycles and thus learn faster and smooth out the idle and "feel" better and let it rev till your nerve gives out and it falls over, but beyond that in a stock car I suspect the chips do almost nothing power wise.

I had TPS chips on my 95 F355 15 years ago. Did not seem to do much except raise the rev limiter to 9000. Did not feel any increase in power. Eventually removed them.

I don't have the necessary equipment to read them and would not like to open them up as I am thinking of selling them.

I was just curious to see the code. I'm not a buyer as I do all my own ECU programming :)

I have a set in my 1993 348 SS for the past 20 years. Rev limit raised. I believe they are calibrated to be used with test pipes.
