I love the TR convertible. The question is what are they worth? I know the cost of a Straman conversion back in the day was 40k, but are they now worth more or less than a hardtop?

I vote less than a fixed roof car. There does not seem to be much of a market / demand for them, unless we are talking slutmobile...

    +1.

From what I have seen they are usually priced towards the bottom of the spectrum. Then again, every time I see one for sale it is horribly needy.

FWIW, I saw a Straman at a Ferrari event recently. The particular example was pretty ragged but still quite the eyecatcher. I was speaking to a Ferrari expert about it. He was very familiar with the conversions and advised that the car redefined the term flexi flyer and that removing the top had eliminated any semblance of structural rigidity causing awful cowl shake, etc. Granted, this was just one person's opinion, but I wouldn't be surprised if this is largely why Ferrari never seriously considered making a limited convertible production run.
