    never have seen before a crankshaft broken at this place and engine still was running

    What caused it? I didn’t follow. The case wasn’t aligned correctly from a previous rebuild?

    as I understand the both engine halfs ( cases ) where not matching together.

    Correct....or it left the fabric this way, or in a later dissassembly someone put 2 different halfs together and the halfs did not match up.So the half-moon spacers on the clutch side did not do their job. 1 half moon did get squesed to much while the other had to much play. Why that shaft broke on that side ? For me, because the 2 half cases are hold together with bolts and on 1 place ( the second from the left galery) there is no bolt. So the 2 cases could split a bit there.
