(Couple of questions at the end)

    Type

    F113A Euro non cat 9.31 comp k-jet 390 hp

F113A040 Us/Japan cat 8.81 comp ke-jet 380 hp anti evap emissions and secondary air pump

    F113A046 Swiss no-cat 8.81 comp ke-jet air injection

    F113B euro 1986 cat (since 1989) 8.81 comp ke-jet air injection

F113B046 Swiss cat 8.81 comp ke-jet evap emissions and secondary air pump

? So there is this engine, mentioned occasionally but not well documented. I assume: F113B069 Middle East 8.81 comp ke-jet no-cat no-air pump/injection

Is the euro F113B euro ke-jet (cat/air injection) also 390hp?

If so is the F113B069 ke-jet (no-cat/no-air pump/injection) possibly the most powerful -hp wise theoretically?
    • just thinking, not that it makes any practical difference.
    Thx

The only horsepower related differences are slight cam timing with the same cams, slight ignition advance adjusted internally on the same ignition unit and a small compression change. According to the parts books the low compression pistons are US only. Make me think all other versions are 390.

Such a small difference it would not surprise me if production tolerances made as much difference as any changes the factory made. And such a small difference would need to be measured by machine.

Makes sense, low compression pistons being US only is new info for me from what I've read. Appreciate you clearing that up. Thank you for the input!
