as I know those fuseboxes are not longer avaiable and if you would get them you have to pay a horrible price. until now my fusebox is still ok, but you never know how long.

Those fuseboxes have inside several conductor films. for those I want to make a drawing to reproduce them.

my question now: who has an old fusebox ( damaged or burned ) and could send it to me that I may start with this project

Good idea Romano ! Pitty I don't have one for you but alway nice to have someone who can create such a part in future ...

Are you aware that there is a big difference between the TR and 512TR versions ... Which one do you want to replicate ... both ?

The cause of burnt boards is not only the boards ... read the many threads about it ....

To prevent bad things, I started with taking over parts of functinallity of the fb bij using only the outputsignal from the fb to trigger a new circuitry ...

So not much power goes through the fb anymore ... That may be an alternative thinking for you ... ? (mail ...)

But there exist ready-made products in the USA indeed, well known and appreciated already; see the above links.

Do some searching, we've covered this very topic a bunch of times. There is a jpeg of all five layers stacked side by side. I have enlarged schematics and fouund errors in actual parts vs. diagrams. The basic problem is the female pins that connect the board to the chasis harness is a undersized on about six high amperage circuits. It fails like this: the two fingers of the female connector over heat, the heat travels down the male pin which toasts the epoxy board. EVERY PERSON WITH A TR SHOULD CHECK THEIR BOARD! It is easy to fix if caught early enough. Part two of the problem is documenting changes during years of production. And how many variations exist of the fuse panel. Problem three is making the male pins on the fuse panel, I think there are four different and that means punch and die fabrication. Problem four is finding a female connector that fits in the original white harness connector that can handle 30 amps. My hope is to one day mail one Canadian his very own TR circuit board. FWIW

on my fusebox there have been 4 female pins less stress/pressure. I put them more together and I hope it is ok now?? ! ! ! :)

I have to look this weekend where I find the 5 layers. the pins I would change completly to other from bosch, also the connectors then with the wires.

    only an idea :)

Probably OK for a short while, I did the same on my FP for a while. Over time as you operate the offending system it will again overheat the pins and cause them to spread resulting in loss/intermittent contact.

Sorry about that, it is an 86. I have been thinking about the fuse panel for a while.
I added some contact improving paste made by Thomas+Betts after removing the female contacts (on the six high amperage circuits) from the white connectors and slightly bending the fingers together. A little is probably too much paste. A needle will release the tang and allow repair. The circuit board is the easy part of the process, I just can't think of what to do with 25,000 male pins! Oh wait, I could make 324 boards..........Yikes!

The paste is KOPR-SHIELD 201-31879 conductive anti-corrosion surface compound by Thomas&Betts. Works very well in my emperical test.
